Varifocal and optical zoom lenses are used across inspection, machine vision, robotics, and other precision imaging fields.
Varifocal and zoom lenses allow selection of an effective focal length within a given range such as 6–60mm. Varifocal lenses require refocusing whenever the focal length is adjusted, while zoom lenses maintain focus throughout the adjustment. Varifocal lenses are generally more compact and economical, making them a cost-effective alternative to zoom lenses.
